Destruction of the Indies (1552)

My own view is that when the Spaniards went and found this new land that was surrounded by more land, they only had one thing in mind and that was to take all this land for themselves and destroy all Indies in their paths. Though I concede that what they did to the Indies to get the land was something that obviously didn't affect them, inside or out. I still maintain that what they did was wrong and inhumane. For example, "when the Spaniards mounted on generous Steeds, with well weapon'd Lances and Swords, they began to exercise their bloody Butcheries and Stratagems." Although some might object that this happened way back in the 1500s and they didn't have the beliefs that we have today that would categorize this as inhumane, I reply that it does not matter who you are "Today" doing this is terribly wrong. The issue is important because we still to this day have what we call "Genocide" where people believe that one race is better than another and decide to get rid of them all together.
