After reading the first chapter of Virginia I believe that Lukin is the author, only because his name is at the end... otherwise I can't gather any other information on who the author is. From my understanding the audience is the people from the first and second colonies that want to rule in Virginia. The tone of this writing is definitely boring and irritating because it's hard to follow and goes on and on about names, degrees, Plantation and Habitation. I gathered that the purpose of the first chapter of Virginia is having the two "cities" and establishing them as colonies. The writing is persuasive in a logical way because there was a plan to divide Virginia into two cities and there were exact degrees upon doing so, which concludes me to think that in order to have made this plan you would have to persuade your thoughts in a logical way (logos).
