My Writing Philosophy

The way I see it is everyone’s philosophy of writing is different and everyone has their own standards as to what “good writing” is. For me writing is a great way to get your feelings out on paper, even if it is an assignment that your teacher has given to you that doesn’t interest you. Just put those feelings aside and write from the heart, telling exactly what you feel is “good” and “appropriate” for that assignment. When I write I something I want it to sound like me; so I like to read what I’ve written out loud to make sure it sounds the way I would say it to whomever I’m speaking to. The main principle to the way I write is to; take the knowledge that I’ve learned over the years and apply it to my writing. For example when I am completed with my Writing 101 class, I will be able to write using templates and better vocabulary, the list goes on… I will be able to present my thoughts in a way that is more intelligent and efficient! The last word: "writing is not my passion but rather something I enjoy doing and improving on."
